Fifty West’s Jack O’ Lantern Jog on Oct. 17 sends 5K runners along the Little Miami River with a pumpkin in hand and a carving station waiting at the finish

Fifty West Brewing Company offers joggers a combined exercise and a classic holiday tradition with its Jack O’ Lantern Jog. After the race, joggers can enjoy food and drinks while carving their own jack-o’-lantern. This 5K takes place Oct. 17 along the Little Miami River. Check-in time is at 11 a.m. and the race will start at noon.

The Jack O’ Lantern Jog 5K will start at Fifty West Wooster Pike, located at 7605 Wooster Pike, Cincinnati. At the halfway point, joggers will stop and choose a pumpkin to carry for the remainder of the race. After joggers cross the finish line, they can carve their pumpkins at one of the 20 pumpkin carving stations. The runner who finishes the 5K with the heaviest pumpkin will win a $50 gift card for 50 West Brew and a 6-pack of beer or seltzer.

Registration is $35 per person and includes a pumpkin, a rental pumpkin-carving kit, a regular order of fries and a nonalcoholic hot beverage.
