The Memorial Day tradition returns this weekend

A memorial day tradition, the Taste of Cincinnati will return this weekend. Taking place on fifth street in downtown Cincinnati, the event will be the largest ever, featuring 78 vendors serving over 300 dishes from all over the globe.  

In its 46th year, Taste of Cincinnati invites attendees to feast upon the tried and true classics of the Queen City like the rice bowl from Bridges Nepali Cuisine or the corned beef and Swiss from Izzy’s. In addition to the staples, there will be plenty new for those looking to try something different. Alfio’s Buon Cibo will be serving up fusion dishes like braised short rib gnocchi and Korean barbecue empanadas. Meanwhile, Cora’s Cakery will offer guests a chance to get creative with their built-your-own cake bowls.  

On the drinks side, big names like Rhinegeist and MadTree will be pouring Juicy Truth and Pyschopathys, respectively, among others. Smaller watering holes like Grainworks and Delicato Family Wines will also be helping to keep a drink in everyone’s hand.  

For those looking for a recommendation or two to guide their way through the festival, The Best of Taste Awards were announced recently. Judging the best three of categories like Best Food Truck Appetizer or Best Findlay Market start up dessert, these awards help spotlight some of the more creative yet lesser known products served at the festival.
