Retirement communities opening new facilities in the North with options for different stages of life
Adults looking to spend their golden years near their families and friends in northern Cincinnati have no shortage of spaces to explore. New retirement communities are cropping up to meet the demand of the region’s aging population. Trilogy Health Services in particular offers several locations in the area, and they’re breaking ground on additional facilities.
Trilogy Health Services communities offer a full range of personalized senior living services, from independent and assisted living to skilled nursing and rehabilitative services in over 110 senior living communities throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. One of the company’s recent additions to the lineup is Gateway Springs Health Campus, which opened in December 2020 in Hamilton.
The campus is focused around a central meeting point, which includes an open, formal dining room. A short stroll in nearly any direction will lead residents of Gateway Springs to on-site salons, an ice cream parlor or other gathering spaces like the walled gardens. In addition to offering assisted living and post-acute health care services, Gateway Springs will also offer memory care services in its Legacy Lane.
Activities include art classes, gardening, cooking and group trips into town to find new favorite haunts, meet new friends or catch a performance.

Northern Cincinnati residents will soon have another Trilogy option for retirement. In April 2022, the company broke ground on the future site of the Liberty Station Health Campus. Potential residents and their families were on hand to learn more about care options including independent living, assisted living, memory care and post-acute health care services.
Built using Trilogy Health Services’ two-story Village Center model (in partnership with DMK Construction), the new community will feature 25 independent living apartments, 23 assisted living units, 18 assisted living memory care units, 42 skilled nursing beds and 12 skilled memory care beds.
The building will feature a mixture of studio and one-bedroom apartments, and amenities will include a full-service bistro, multiple dining areas, an activity room designed to accommodate everything from art projects to game nights, a beauty and barber salon, theater room, state-of-the-art physical therapy and rehab gym, and a resident fitness center. Outside, seniors and their guests can enjoy beautifully landscaped courtyards, putting green, gardens and more.
The project will represent a total community investment of $21 million and is expected to create more than 200 construction jobs, as well as over 120 permanent jobs once the community is open.
