 Looking Back While Looking Forward

Publisher’s View

Putting together the annual Power 100 is always an enjoyable experience. We get to look back at the previous year to evaluate what changed, for better or worse. We also are afforded the opportunity to connect with others—from advertisers to members of the community—to get their thoughts on who has grown in influence and what the important events of the last year were. This year, the community has certainly spoken; sports was king in 2021. You’ll see the impact of the Bengals, University of Cincinnati and even the Reds all over this year’s list.

While the Power 100 has been a mainstay of our first issue of the year since we began the magazine, a more recent addition has become an equally important fixture. In its second year, the Best in Cincy Business Awards give us the opportunity to celebrate even more of the businesses and organizations that make Greater Cincinnati such as great place to work. Our readers voted for their favorite business service providers—from accounting firms to marketing agencies, many of which worked hard to provide the same great service during another unusual year. Keep a look out for the inaugural event bringing everyone within this issue all together next month. Make sure you subscribe to our online newsletter at cincymagazine.com/subscribe/ to ensure you get the most up-to-date information on the event.

Cincinnati is better off with the likes of those you’ll see in this issue. I look forward to another year of watching our region grow while finding new and innovative ways to succeed.
