Roll up your sleeve for donuts, chili and a good cause
Hoxworth Blood Center and the University of Cincinnati is collaborating with a handful of the city’ staple restaurants next week for the Seventh Annual Cincinnati Favorites Blood Drive Tour. Continuing throughout the summer, the drive encourages community members to become blood donors in exchange for coupons to and samples from favorites like Skyline Chili, Graeter’s Ice Cream, Busken Bakery, LaRosa’s and more.
“Whether you like ice cream or donuts, pizza or coneys, Cincinnati Favorites has something for you,” says Hoxworth Co-Director Dr. Caroline Alquist, “We think our donors deserve a little extra treat when they take the time to donate blood, and it’s a win-win to work with local Cincinnati staples to offer these bonus items to our Hoxworth Heroes.”
In addition to the treats and meals that the donors will receive from these Cincinnati institutions, Hoxworth will also provide all donors with a Collectible Cincinnati Favorites cup, featuring illustrations of many of these Cincinnati staple dishes. In addition to the collectable mug from Hoxworth and treats from places likeThe BonBonerie, Aglamesis Bro’s., and Montgomery Inn, Donors can also cash in on the monthly Hoxworth Donor promotion, like gift cards in and other treats from sponsors.
