M E Clarke Consulting helps businesses form healthy teams and bright futures
Sometimes, a business or organization needs outside help to reach the next level. Maybe two departments have merged, creating tension in the team. Maybe a manager is struggling in their role. Or maybe you just aren’t sure how to position your business for more growth. M E Clarke Consulting, a Blue Ash-based business that specializes in cultural transformation, organizational health, strategic visioning, and leadership development, may be able to help.
Founded by Meghan Clarke in 2008, the business works with both teams and individuals to reach their fullest potential. “Our magic really is our ability to help teams be cohesive, to be high performing, but also stretch beyond what even they thought was possible in terms of the vision,” says Clarke.
This can be done in a myriad of ways but often starts with a conversation.
“What I’ve found recently is we’re working with leaders who have taken on a new role and they’re about a year into their position and they’re like, ‘OK, I’ve got my bearings and I know what I want to do and I need help doing it,’” says Clarke. “‘So I need help with the culture and the strategy. I need help with executive team development. I need some help with how do I align people If I have my own vision, how do I align people behind the vision, et cetera.’ But usually people come to us and it’s not a sign of what’s wrong. It’s actually a sign of what’s right. It’s because the teams on the precipice of something different.
“Our job is how do we make that a time of creativity and mitigate some of the natural chaos that’s part of that.”
After issues and goals are identified, Clarke and her team turn to their tool kit to create a plan tailored to the organization. This could include assessments, one-on-one coaching, strategic planning, leadership development and more.
Clarke and her team use their more than 35 years of collective experience to help businesses reach their full potential. Clarke started her career in community reconciliation, working in conflicts as varied as police community relations, environmental conflicts and religious issues. Kristi Lee trained as an attorney and has a background in community organizing and nonprofits. And Grace Berger is a certified teacher.
“Kristi has like a real knack for meeting teams where they are and helping them navigate from confusion or chaos or resistance to a place of engagement and clarity and alignment,” adds Clarke.
In addition to working with businesses, organizations and individuals, M E Clarke Consulting also manages The Encounter, a 22,000-squre-foot collaboration space.
“It’s a literal facilitator’s Candy Land,” says Clarke. “We really wanted to create a space that people could come to and reconnect with each other.”
The space can be rented out to any team and includes Wink walls for writing and collaborating, a huddle space with comfortable couches and chairs, a conference room, snacks, coffee bar and more.
“I created this both to contain our work and host the teams that we’re partnering with, but also as a rental for anybody else who needs some awesome space to come vision forward and reconnect,” says Clarke.
