Milford Miami Township Chamber goes above and beyond
When you’re just starting out in a business venture, relationships are everything. Meeting business associates, potential customers and even competitors is an essential investment for any fledgling enterprise.
But you also need to realize the full value of your marketing, advertising and business expense dollar.
That’s where the Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce comes in.
“The Milford Miami Township Chamber of Commerce is a local chamber,” says Andrea Brady, executive director. “Our purpose is to support local businesses, most of which are smaller businesses. In fact, 80% of our businesses have 10 or fewer employees.”
That means the chamber focuses on benefits.
“We work very hard, and especially through COVID, to identify and incorporate all kinds of member benefits. We have one of the longest lists of member benefits of any chamber in our area,” says Brady. “We also have the lowest cost of any chamber in our immediate area—so many of our members can easily save multiples of their membership fees just through our cost savings efforts.”
If you want to realize cost savings on health insurance, workers’ compensation fees, employee cell phone use, buy office supplies or printing you’ll find the very reasonable cost of chamber membership is easily offset.
The chamber also offers something called an ActionCOACH discount, which is a discount to ProfitCLUB Mastermind, a peer-to-peer coaching program designed for emerging business owners as well as leaders and managers who want to grow. There are also discounts on credit card processing, email marketing services, shipping and energy discounts for businesses and homes among many others.

There are plenty of marketing and support benefits, too, with options that can help you market your business whether it is B2B or B2C. That can include everything from advertising on your website or in the chamber’s newsletter to sponsorship opportunities for events that draw tens of thousands of people.
Another strength of the Milford Miami Township Chamber is its ability to offer networking opportunities. As one of the oldest chambers in Southwest Ohio, it enjoys a rich heritage of helping businesses forge relationships. It helps members do the same by partnering with surrounding chambers to create networking opportunities.
“Every month, we host something called our Combined Morning Mixers,” says Brady, which is a networking event with three other chambers, including the Clermont County Chamber, the Anderson Area Chamber and the Little Miami River Chamber Alliance.
“We usually have about 100 people from across the region,” says Brady. “It’s a great way to spend the morning and meet other people and area businesses.”
In August and November, the Milford Miami Chamber will also host its quarterly Open House, which is just for members and is a more intimate event, says Brady.
“This year, we are doing something a little different with our Open Houses,” she adds. “We’re calling them ‘Behind the Scenes,’ and we are focusing on learning about some of our businesses in more detail. In August, we’ll be visiting Seven Hills Pet Clinic, and we’ll get to observe a police department they work with training their police dogs.”
