Yayoi Kusama: All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins

Location: Cincinnati Art Museum, Eden Park
The Cincinnati Art Museum presents Yayoi Kusama’s “All the Eternal Love I Have for the Pumpkins” starting July 17 and running through October 18. Kusama’s exhibition features one of her famous infinity mirror rooms with mirrors lining the walls creating the illusion that the room stretches on forever. This exhibition immerses viewers as it showcases the infinity mirror room with endless glowing yellow pumpkins covered in black polka dots creating the feeling that the viewer is part of the installation themselves.
Pride Night at the Cincinnati Zoo
Date: July 17
Time: 6-9 p.m.
Location: Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Cincinnati
The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical gardens invites members and non-members to enjoy an after-hours pride event celebrating the diversity of everyone in the community. Tickets include drag performances, live DJs and acoustic performances, and free carousel and train rides. Visitors can also walk around the zoo and enjoy animal encounters and enrichment activities.
Bourbon, Bacon and Brew Festival
Date: July 17-19
Time: July 17 5-11 p.m., July 18 noon-11 p.m., July 19 noon-9 p.m.
Location: Newport’s Festival Park, Newport, KY
The Bourbon, Bacon and Brew Festival welcomes visitors to experience a weekend celebration with live music, creative dishes, drinks and family friendly activities along the Ohio River. The festival features Molly Wellmann, a Cincinnati bourbon expert, to host tastings and to craft her own bourbon creations.
AfriFest: A Taste of Africa
Date: July 18
Time: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Location: Sawyer Point, Cincinnati
AfriFest invites the Cincinnati community to enjoy and celebrate African art and culture for their free and family friendly event. AfriFest features a variety of African and Caribbean food vendors and an outdoor marketplace showcasing handcrafted goods and art. From live music to traditional dancing, there are many ways to celebrate culture and community.
William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing: Free Shakespeare in the Park
Date: July 19
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: Devou Park, Covington, KY
The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (CSC) presents William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing for free in Devou Park. Its rendition of the play takes place in 1776 to honor America’s 250th celebration. The company performs the play around Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana through Sept. 6.
