Get out of the city and onto a farm this weekend with one of these fall events
When you think of fall, it’s hard to not think of farms, too. For many of us, pumpkin patches, apple picking and corn mazes are just part of the fall experience. If you and your family are ready to say goodbye to summer, consider attending one of these events happening this weekend.
Fall on the Farm at Blooms & Berries Farm Market & Garden in Loveland is being held daily through Nov. 1. Tickets must be purchased in advance, but those who attend will be able to explore the 5-acre corn maze, sample craft beer in the beer garden, see farm animals and more.
In Evendale, families can partake in the Sunflowers at Gorman Heritage Farm event this weekend and next. Tickets must be purchased in advance and entry will be staggered. While there, visitors can explore the farm, walk several miles of wooded trails, buy pumpkins and cut their own sunflowers.
Up north in Lebanon, lovers of all things apple cider—from doughnuts to slushies—will find plenty to celebrate at Hidden Valley Orchards’ Apple Cider Weekend. While there, make sure to make a stop at The COOP Ice Cream Barn for some soft-serve ice cream.
During weekends through Nov. 1, Burwinkel Farms in Ross will be hosting Sunflower, Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch Weekends. The farm is offering both a hayride and walking version of the event to guests, and those who attend will be invited to explore two corn mazes, a skid maze, sunflower walking paths, a pumpkin patch and more.
If you’re looking to enjoy the farm air but not ready to pick out a pumpkin, head to Vinoklet Winery off Colerain Avenue this Saturday for its Concert & Craft Market. Starting at 11 a.m., there will be craft vendors selling their work. Stick around until the afternoon to enjoy the live music, too.
