Celebrate the end of summer with one of these Labor Day celebrations

Cincinnatians have many choices when it comes to Labor Day celebrations. Amusement parks, boat rides and riverside fun, as well as many other celebrations, will be available this Labor Day weekend. 

Labor Day Weekend Family Picnic Basket Celebration 

Date: Sept. 5 
Time: noon-5 p.m. 
Location: Stricker’s Grove, Hamilton 

Join the Cincinnati AFL-CIO Central Labor Council for its annual Labor Day Picnic. Union members, families and friends are invited to this celebration of workers’ achievements and the labor movement at Stricker’s Grove amusement park. This event offers family-friendly fun with rides, live entertainment and food for purchase, as well as a chance to connect with union members. Keynote speaker Amy Acton and national guest speaker Pete Buttigieg will be on the main stage from 3-4 p.m. 

Labor Day & Riverfest Fireworks Cruise 

Date: Sept. 6 
Time: Boarding start 4 p.m., Cruise 5-10 p.m. 
Location: BB Riverboats 

BB Riverboats is celebrating Labor Day with a special cruise featuring an exquisite view of the fireworks from the river. This event includes a buffet-style dinner followed by dessert and a snack buffet for the rest of the night. Guests will view the choreographed fireworks show by Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks while listening to the sounds of WEBN’s Riverfest music. 

Western & Southern WEBN Fireworks and Riverfest 

Date: Sept. 6 
Time: 3 p.m. 
Location: Sawyer Point & Yeatman’s Cove, Cincinnati 

One of the largest fireworks display in the Midwest is back at Riverfest in downtown Cincinnati, hosted by Western & Southern. Guests can join this Labor Day celebration for free and enjoy live music, food from local vendors, and live, family-friendly entertainment before the main show. As night falls, the fireworks show will start, accompanied by coordinating music to complement the show.
