Nolia Kitchen is bringing Southern favorites to the Midwest
If you’re looking for a bite of the South here in Cincinnati, look no further than Nolia Kitchen. “Nolia Kitchen is a Southern-style restaurant covering the southern regions from Texas to the Carolinas,” says Nolia Kitchen Chef and founder Jeffery Harris.
The inspiration for such a dining establishment in Cincinnati came from the Nolia Kitchen team’s passion for spreading the love of Southern cuisine. Harris says that it was something that the team felt was missing in the area and they wanted to highlight the amazing dishes that are traditional to Southern culture while also giving those here in the Midwest an opportunity to try those dishes without leaving the region.
The team behind Nolia Kitchen is comprised of Harris alongside Chef de Cuisine Nathan Penny and Sous Chef Stephanie Gonzalez.
The menu at Nolia Kitchen is unique because it represents so many different types of Southern cuisine. “You can come here and be in Alabama, Louisiana, Florida and Georgia, all in one place,” says Harris. “No one is doing the food we’re doing, and there isn’t one dish on our menu that you can get anywhere else.”

Some of the most popular dishes on the Nolia Kitchen menu include Gulf oysters, skillet cornbread, oyster maque choux and redfish courtboullion. The bar menu doesn’t disappoint either with cocktails such as the Spitta Andretti (rye, sweet vermouth, cognac, Peychaud’s and Angostura bitters, and Bénédictine), the Juvie (rye whiskey, absinthe and Peychaud’s and Angostura bitters) and the Tunechi (rum, passion fruit, orange juice, lime juice and grenadine).
As Nolia Kitchen continues to make a name for itself in Cincinnati, Harris says that they look forward to giving Cincinnati a Southern hug with their food and Southern hospitality with their service.
