The Pickle Lodge to Take Over ACES Facility at Factory 52 

The Pickle Lodge is expanding its footprint in Greater Cincinnati, announcing it will take over operations of ACES Pickleball Bar & Grill at Factory 52 beginning June 1. 

The move positions the fast-growing operator more firmly within one of the region’s most prominent mixed-use developments, while reinforcing its role in the area’s rapidly expanding pickleball scene. 

Located in Norwood, the Factory 52 facility features five indoor courts, a covered three-season court, five outdoor courts, a full-service restaurant and bar, and more than 25,000 square feet of outdoor recreation space. 

“This is a strategic expansion for us,” says cofounder Mitch Dunn, citing continued demand for structured programming and professionally managed facilities. “We believe the market benefits from experienced operators who can provide consistency and long-term stability.” 

The Pickle Lodge, which launched in 2023, now operates multiple locations across the region, hosting leagues, tournaments, lessons and corporate events for players of all skill levels. Its existing sites include its flagship North Shore facility and a second location at Lunken Landing. 

Under new management, the Factory 52 site will continue offering open play, leagues and instruction while integrating into The Pickle Lodge’s broader programming. 

“Our goal is to elevate the player experience while preserving the community that already exists,” says cofounder Joe Frank. 

As part of the transition, Two Cities Pizza will take over the food and beverage program. The Mason-based pizzeria, known for its Chicago and New York-style offerings, will open its fourth location at the site. 

Leaders say the expansion is part of a broader growth strategy, with additional locations under consideration in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati’s east side.
