As 2021 winds down, events are popping up all over Cincinnati
As the days get shorter and the temperatures drop, seasonal events are gearing up to welcome guests. Here’s a rundown of all the fun festivities happening in the Queen City as we transition into fall, and from fall into winter.
October
Oct. 21
TEDxCincinnatiWomen is giving attendees the opportunity to experience live speakers and performers on-stage at Memorial Hall. TEDxCincinnatiWomen includes a diverse group of curious-minded attendees and speakers. This night of TED talks is open to everyone.
Oct. 23
American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Yeatman’s Cove aims to support breast cancer research and bring others together in the fight against breast cancer. Making Strides is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, which participates in groundbreaking breast cancer research and provides patient services like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near treatment and a 24/7 cancer helpline.
Through Oct. 30
Open every Friday and Saturday night starting at 6 p.m., Kings Island invites guests to its Halloween Haunt, where they can wander through the park as ghosts, ghouls and terrifying creatures haunt the grounds. There are mazes, scare zones and sinister live entertainment. USA Today voted Halloween Haunt the Best Theme Park Halloween Event in the country and the park lives up to the title with thrills that you can’t find anywhere else. Select rides are also open during the event including Diamondback, The Beast, Orion, Mystic Timbers and Banshee.

Jack-O-Lantern Junction at EnterTRAINment Junction is back and the perfect Halloween treat for the littles. This event features an indoor, no-scare walk through a trick-or-treat maze with kid-friendly ghosts, skeletons and treat stations. EnterTRAINment Junction’s Main Street is dressed top to bottom with Halloween decor and Jack-O-Lantern Junction gives the kids a chance to explore an indoor pumpkin patch. Kids get to take home a free mini pumpkin, enjoy crafts, visit with a talking pumpkin and so much more. Plus, there are outdoor activities to enjoy as well.

The Greater Cincinnati Holiday Market at Duke Energy Convention Center is back and better than ever. The holidays are just around the corner and this is the place to get all of your holiday shopping done in one stop. This shopping extravaganza features more than 300 boutiques and specialty shops, gourmet food, artisans and unique gifts to check off everyone on your list. Special events during the Holiday Market include visits from Santa, Girls Night Out, VIP Shopper Mornings and Hero Day.
Nov. 13
Carol’s Trunk Show and Sametra Moore are bringing the Christmas Pop-Up Shop to the College Hill Recreation Center Nov. 13. The event allows you to get a head start on your holiday shopping as you hang out with family and friends. Vendors, raffles, giveaways and music will be available for event attendees.
Nov. 13-14
The EconoMe Conference at the University of Cincinnati brings together thought leaders to discuss happiness, freedom and property through personal finance. The event includes breakout sessions on a variety of money topics, a live recording of the Stacking Benjamins podcast and other fun activities. Panelists and speakers include Joe Saul-Sehy of Stacking Benjamins, Kiersten Saunders of Rich & Regular, Kevin Ha of Financial Panther, Naseema McElroy of Financially Intentional and Stephanie Zito of Wandering for Good.

Christmas at EnterTRAINment Junction is back with the magic of Christmas at the World’s Largest Indoor Train Display. A journey to the North Pole will give your littles the chance to see Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Nov. 19-Jan. 9
The PNC Festival of Lights at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden will transform the zoo into a Wild Wonderland. This is the zoo’s 39th PNC Festival of Lights and features 4 million LED lights. Zoo visitors can take a ride on the North Polar Express, check out the light show on Swan Lake and make a cheerful s’more at the S’mores-n-More stand.

The Small Business Shopping Fair at the Willow Event Center is a great way to support small and local businesses with holiday gifts, sweet treats, candles, home decor, bath and body products, jewelry, clothing, purses, accessories, and so much more.
Nov. 19-Dec. 26
The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company is hosting Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!). The show starts out as a production of A Christmas Carol and turns into a look at holiday favorites like It’s a Wonderful Life, Frosty, Rudolph and Charlie Brown. This 90-minute show will also feature appearances from Charles Dickens to Dr. Seuss.
Nov. 24-Dec. 30
A Christmas Carol by Playhouse at the Park is here. This holiday family favorite combines storytelling with stage magic to bring life to Ebenezer Scrooge. Watch as he undergoes a transformation that turns his heart from ice cold to warm and mushy, realizing it’s never too late to change your ways.
