The Cincinnati area is home to several restaurants that offer healthy food that still tastes good

Making healthy decisions while also wanting to eat out can be difficult. Thankfully, there are restaurants in the Cincinnati area that have those options.

Clean Eatz, with locations in Cincinnati, Eastgate, Montgomery, West Chester and Newport, Kentucky, is driven to “Change Livez through clean, balanced food, thought-provoking education and motivational support that inspires results,” according to its website.

In addition to dining in, it offers meal plans and catering. The goal od Clean Eatz is to give you the tools needed by preparing well-portioned meals with a balance of fats, carbs and protein.

You can place your order between Tuesday and Sunday. Pickups are between Sunday and Tuesday. Meals should be eaten by Wednesday, or you can freeze your meals for up to six months.

You can also make a special request if you have a certain diet. You just need to select the special request option at the bottom of the page after choosing your quantities.

If you are on a low-carb diet, any grains are replaced with cauliflower rice and green vegetables.

There are also vegetarian and vegan options with a full line of vegetarian and vegan sandwiches and wraps, smoothie options and pescetarian dishes.

For kids, there is a kids’ menu, healthy snacks, smoothies and family meals.

Nourish at Be in Wyoming serves options for those who gluten, peanut and dairy free. It is a gluten-, peanut- and dairy-free cafe with smoothies, a healing space and a community hub.

It offers fresh, house-made bagels, sandwiches, toast, smoothies, salads, dips, clean boba, snacks and baked goods “all created with your health and wellness in mind,” says its website.

It also has a market area with as many locally sourced snacks and baked goods as possible.

There are also a ton of vegan options to choose from, with chickpea-of-the-sea vegan “tuna” salad, vegan mushroom red lentil egg bites and an original sunshine sesame bagel made with gluten-free wheat starch.

Sometimes you want to have a night where you want to cook your own healthy meals. Luckily there are places in Cincinnati where you can learn.

At Peachy’s Health Smart Cooking Classes in Silverton, Peachy Seiden, a registered dietitian, leads the class to go beyond just recipes to help you understand how food impacts your health.

At Turner Farm’s Teaching Kitchen in Indian Hill, students of all ages learn how to cook healthy meals from their region’s seasonal food, including meat and vegetables from Turner Farm’s own fields and pastures.
