 Casually Intimate Dining

Check out Sotto, one of the area’s premier Italian eateries

If you’re looking for an understated but romantic and intimate atmosphere, you’ll find it at Sotto.

“Sotto exudes a hip, handmade feel with its rustic concrete, brick and stone walls,” explained Katie Pappa, marketing manager at Boca Restaurant Group, Sotto’s parent company. “Tables graced with candelabras and small candle votives placed delicately throughout the restaurant add an elegant and convivial feel.”

Owned by Chef David Falk alongside Executive Chef Jacob “Woody” Wood, Sotto aims to pay homage to the ancient brick-and-mortar buildings of Italy. Falk himself was inspired to create the Sotto concept after many trips to Italy where the food is real, handmade and authentic.

Guests who visit the restaurant will find a menu full of “hardcore, straight-ahead Italian” dishes. “The restaurant boasts pasta made in-house, classic antipasti, bruschetta and authentic entrees as well as a wine list consisting of 100 percent vino di tavola, or table wine directly from Italy,” said Pappa.

No matter when you visit Sotto, you’ll find an environment full of pasta, loud laughter and community. “The restaurant, affectionally termed ‘the underground’ by staff, is made for getting together with friends and family, noshing on pasta and enjoying good times,” said Pappa.

As time moves on, Falk and the team will continue bringing authentic Italian cuisine to the Greater Cincinnati region.

You can visit Sotto at 118 E 6th St. in Downtown Cincinnati. You can learn more by visiting Sotto’s website or their Instagram.
