BLINK is back with more light shows, art and music, with new additions made for BLINK 2026
BLINK returns to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky this weekend Oct. 8 to Oct. 11, 2026, for nights of light and fun. Running from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. each night, the festival turns 35-plus Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky city blocks into an immersive art experience.
BLINK is the nation’s biggest free public art event. With contributions from more than 80 artists, there will be art installations, projections and new murals.
“Sitting at the crossroads of innovative art and new technology, BLINK embodies the spirit of world-building, connecting artists who craft their own unique environments within the Cincinnati cityscape,” according to the BLINK 2026 website.
Opening night on Oct. 8 is not to miss, as it is the opening ceremony. This year’s opening ceremony, Ready. Set. BLINK! will be new, with a “more immersive opening celebration that brings the community together,” according to the BLINK 2026 website.
The opening ceremony is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Central Parkway between Liberty Street and West 14th Street, against the backdrop of the TQL Stadium.
At 4 p.m., there will be live music from local DJs and national performers. Along with the music and performers, there will be interactive and collaborative art installations, food and drink vendors throughout the event, and hands-on light art creation stations.
At 7 p.m., as the sun sets, BLINK officially starts with the Flip of the Switch moment, initiating an amazing light and drone show featuring pyrotechnics.
For parking, there are parking garages and surface lots that include Washington Park Garage, Memorial Hall Surface Lot and Findlay Market North Garage, which are inside the BLINK footprint. Some parking lots are allowing booking in advance.
Any garages and surface lots that are outside the BLINK footprint will have event pricing during the festival.
If parking is far from BLINK, public transportation, which includes TANK and METRO service,s is available.
Anyone with a trained service animal is allowed with their handlers.
“Due to the large crowds and event environment, we encourage attendees to leave pets and all other animals at home,” the BLINK website says.
