Milford offers all the requirements for a perfect Holiday outing 

Many in the Cincinnati area flock to Kenwood Towne Center or Vine Street in Over-The-Rhine to do a bit of Christmas shopping in the final weeks of the season, trying to grab last minute gifts. While those staples are great, there are a number of other neighborhoods around the area that are just as great to spend these finals weekends of the year. Milford’s downtown business district, or Old-Milford, is one such neighborhoods positioning itself as a holiday shopping spot this season, with independent retailers and a riverfront brewery offering options for a festive night out.  

The city’s Main Street corridor is home to boutiques, specialty stores, bookstore and other longtime small businesses continuing to welcome residents and visitors looking for unique, locally made gifts. 

Shops such as Enchanted, known for metaphysical trinkets, and LeiMarie Limited, featuring clothing, are sure to see an uptick in weekend foot traffic. Meanwhile, Milford’s independent bookshop, The Book Matters, offers shoppers new releases, local authors and more last-minute stocking-stuffer options.  

Just a few blocks away, one of Milford’s premier spots, Little Miami Brewing Company, adds some seasonal charm with its food and beverages. The brewery is offering seasonal beers such as the Winterbolt holiday lager and the orange-vanilla ale, Prancer, and remains a go-to destination for pizzas and river-view seating as well. 

Milford’s seasonal activities peak on event days such as Santa Sunday. The citywide Santa drive-through, running from 1-6 p.m., sends Milford Community Fire Department firetrucks through neighborhoods with Santa aboard, handing out treats.   

Milford’s walkable layout, cluster of independent retailers and storefronts help it stand out at Christmastime. Visitors can stroll Main Street, shop for gifts, enjoy a pint and even catch Santa on his community tour—all in Milford.
