7 local events that allow the whole family to ring in the New Year together
Whether you’re looking for something the whole family can enjoy or you want to keep your normal bedtime, there are plenty of local New Year’s Eve events that don’t require staying up until midnight. Here are seven that are sure to entertain the whole family.
BB Riverboats’ New Year’s Eve Kids Cruise

This family-friendly cruise has a countdown at noon so everyone can be awake for the fun. The cruise also has a DJ, character meet-and-greets and lunch that features ham and a mashed potato bar.
Cincinnati Cyclones’ New Year’s Eve + Indoor Fireworks

Heritage Bank Center, 100 Broadway, Downtown

Watch the Cincinnati Cyclones take on the Toledo Walleye this New Year’s Eve. Make sure you don’t leave early, though, as they’ll be shooting off fireworks inside Heritage Bank Center after the game.

Visitors can enjoy the zoo’s Festival of Lights while ringing in the New Year. This kid-friendly event also includes giveaways, a DJ, games and more.
