Realtor Alliance of Greater Cincinnati is growing to better serve members

Big things have been happening for the Realtor Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC). The Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors and Butler-Warren Association of Realtors joined forces in January 2022 to create RAGC, which represents over 6,000 Realtors and affiliate members in Butler, Hamilton and Warren counties.

“The RAGC is the leading trade association in safeguarding and promoting the interest of Realtors in preserving private property rights and influencing and shaping the industry. Our members include licensed brokers, salespersons, appraisers and trade affiliates, including home inspectors, financial advisers, lenders and title and escrow companies,” says Shawn Maus, RAGC director of marketing and communications.

By merging the two organizations, the RAGC says that it will be better able to serve its many members. The organization says that its leadership team developed a strategic plan to guide its growth, which led to a new brand identity that illustrates how forward-thinking and inclusive its services are. In addition to the new brand identity, the RAGC has moved to a new office at 400 E. Business Way, Suite 100, in Sharonville.

While much has changed, the purpose of the organization remains the same—supporting buyers, sellers and local Realtors. RAGC believes there is a lot of value in choosing a Realtor when you’re looking to buy or sell real estate.

“Realtors have a higher standard and there’s more training involved,” says DaVan Gassett, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker West Shell and member of the board of directors of the Realtor Alliance of Greater Cincinnati. “They know how to communicate. They know the process and steps of purchasing.”

“They can really tell you the ins and out of the area,” adds Quivari ‘Q’ Jackson, a Realtor with Key Realty. “But also because, as a Realtor, we have to abide by the National Association of Realtors Code of Ethics. You’re going to make sure that you’re going to get professionalism when you hire a Realtor. We also are going to be held accountable—we can be fined and or lose our license if we don’t do the right thing.”

Realtors with Heart

In addition to assisting people buy and sell real estate in the Tristate, the Realtor Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (RAGC) is also working to educate people about the importance of CPR and AED training. Called Realtors with Heart, this RAGC committee donates AEDs and offers CEP training.

“Our advocacy is at the government levels (local, county, and state) and we offer a scholarship program to high school seniors. We also have a community outreach committee that does all sorts of volunteer work in the community,” says Shawn Maus, RAGC director of marketing and communications.

The committee also promotes the installation of AED machines in all Realtor office and works to raise fund for the purchase of AED machines in public locations. To learn more, visit cincyrealtoralliance.com/about-us/committees/.
