Deep-hued and dark foliage and flowers planted to complement this mysterious theme

Join nature lovers from all over the Cincinnati metropolitan area at Krohn Conservatory for their ongoing butterfly show, Gothica Botanica. Home to hundreds of butterflies, Krohn Conservatory hosts a themed butterfly show every year for all to enjoy.  

Last year’s theme was Butterflies in Space, but this year’s theme is much darker. Watch as the conservatory is transformed from its original Art Deco style to this Gothic-themed garden. There, Krohn Conservatory boasts deep-hued and dark foliage and flowers planted to complement this mysterious theme.   

Visitors looking for a way to support Krohn’s Conservatory can become “Friends of Krohn”. This membership allows free admission during regular hours and special preview sales throughout the year.  

The conservatory asks that visitors not touch the butterflies to keep these delicate creatures safe. They also ask that visitors not bring any flowers or plants, real or fake, into the conservatory for the safety of the butterflies.  

Gothica Botanica began in late May and will continue until August 10. Purchase your ticket today and enjoy up to 45 minutes of this gothic-themed show. Show times are every day 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
