16 summer community concerts will get you out of the house and onto the dance floor
One of the best ways to enjoy the warm weather in the Tristate is to attend a free community concert. Luckily, the region offers concerts aplenty, with one happening almost every day. These concerts are offered throughout the summer months, but we’ve found 16 that happen this May and June.
Jazz at the Square
Tuesdays through Sept. 26
Enjoy live jazz music performed by local and regional acts at Fountain Square. 5-8 p.m. Free. Fountain Square, 520 Vine St., downtown.
Rockin’ The Roebling
Thursdays through Aug. 31
Free weekly concert starring big local bands like The Menus and Naked Karate Girls. 6-10 p.m. Free. Moerlein Lager House, 115 Joe Nuxhall Way, downtown.
Salsa on the Square
Thursdays through Sept. 28
Bands specializing in salsa, merengue, cumbia and Latin jazz take over the Fountain Square stage on Thursday nights. Local dance instructors will also be on hand. 7-10 p.m. Free. Fountain Square, 520 Vine St., downtown.
Indie Friday
Fridays through Oct. 13
