President & CEO of the West Chester-Liberty Chamber Alliance
2023 promises to be a big year for the West Chester-Liberty Chamber Alliance. The chamber recently moved to a larger office, is planning to bring back one of its signature events and is ramping up the services it provides members. We spoke with Joe Hinson, president and CEO of the chamber, about the organization and its plans for 2023.
Cincy Magazine: Can you introduce the West Chester-Liberty Chamber Alliance?
Joe Hinson: The West Chester-Liberty Chamber Alliance is a member-driven, business-focused organization with a tilt toward the communities we serve. Our tag line is “connecting people and possibilities” in Liberty and West Chester townships and along the Interstate 75 growth corridor.
CM: What programs will the chamber be offering in 2023?
JH: A key area of future growth for our region is the growth corridor on I-75 between Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and Dayton. In particular, the 25 miles of interstate north of Interstate 275 up to Interstate 675 has become a hot bed of commercial activity since Union Centre Boulevard opened in late 1997, and the opening further north of Austin Boulevard in 2010. We promote this key area of development that connects the Cincinnati-Dayton metroplex annually with one our signature events, The Everest Awards, where we honor leaders and legends on the I-75 growth corridor.
This year we will be honoring these three individuals that have made a significant impact on the development of our growth corridor: Patti Alderson, founder and former CEO of the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of West Chester/Liberty; Carl Satterwhite, president and owner of RCF Group; and Jason Woodard, founder and principal of Woodard Development.
Also, back by popular demand, we will be presenting THE Jingle Mingle on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at The Foundry at Liberty Center.
CM: Why was it time for the chamber to move to a new location? How does the chamber plan to use the location to provide more benefit to members?
JH: The opportunity for the West Chester-Liberty Chamber Alliance to have a presence in a central business district with convenient access to I-75 and Class A office space with 1,000 more square footage was an opportunity that we had been working toward. We are very appreciative of Kemba Credit Union and the other 15 chamber members that helped us make this move to our new home. Liberty and West Chester townships continue to expand their business footprint and we need to grow along with the business community.
CM: What are the chamber’s plans for 2023?
JH: [Our goals are to] produce six signature events over the next 12 months, deliver monthly networking and educational events, create a regular podcast segment from Java with Joe, provide new marketing bundle opportunities to chamber members [and] expand our promotional reach to our regional events—Regional Business Expo, Women of Excellence and THE Jingle Mingle—to surrounding major markets.
