Find fun events suitable for the whole family throughout the spring season
Warm weather is back and we couldn’t be more excited to say goodbye to cabin fever and hello to outdoor adventures. As we welcome the much-anticipated rise in temperatures, we’re also welcoming all the events that are just around the corner.
Spring is a fun time in Cincinnati (really, all the seasons are fun) and there’s so much to do. The days are getting longer and the sun is coming out from behind the clouds, so venture into the Great Outdoors, visit that market you’ve always wanted to shop at and see what the Queen City has to offer this spring.
The warmer weather means you’ll probably be starting some home renovation projects soon. Thankfully, the Sharonville Convention Center is playing host to The Greater Cincinnati Home Expo March 17-19. There, you’ll see companies who can help you make the vision for your home a reality this spring.
Tootsie will soon wrap up its run at the Aronoff Center for the Arts with shows through March 19. The acclaimed musical is sure to bring laughs and remind us all why we love the theater so much. Tickets are required for the show and start at $35.
Every Thursday through May 4 at 6:30 p.m., the Cincinnati Art Museum offers a family-friendly guided tour of “Georgia O’Keeffe, Photographer.” The tours are free and meet in the front lobby of the museum.
If you have any unicorn lovers in the house, be sure to check out Unicorn World March 18-19 at the Duke Energy Convention Center. You’ll get to see life-sized unicorns, a magical forest and enjoy unicorn activities and rides. Tickets are required for this family-friendly event.
St. Patrick’s Day is March 17, and there will be plenty of green beer festivities going on throughout the weekend. From bar crawls to 5ks, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the Irish holiday.
Spring officially marks its arrival on March 20. Celebrate by visiting one of parks or gardens in Cincinnati including Glenwood Gardens, Washington Park, Eden Park, Ault Park or Friendship Park.
The Cincinnati Art Museum will host its Art After Dark series with events happening this spring March 24, April 28 and May 26. Details on Art After Dark events are announced closer to each date.
Watch nature come back to life at the Mt. Airy Arboretum Walking Tour on March 25 or head out to the Seasonal Foraging Walkabout at the Cincinnati Nature Center on March 29. Both events are full of exploration and a great way to welcome spring. Both events require advance registration.
Baseball is back, baby. Currently, the scheduled date for the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade is March 30. Are you even from Cincinnati if you don’t go? Be sure to keep an eye out for details on the parade, and get your tickets early to attend a game at Great American Ball Park this spring.
March 30 through April 2 is the 2023 Cincinnati Auto Expo. Car lovers will get to check out the region’s premier automotive industry event with an expo showcasing the latest cars, trucks, SUVs, crossovers and hybrids out there today. Specialists and dealer reps will also be attendance so you can ask them any question you may have and learn even more.
Three Days Grace is putting on a concert you’ll not soon forget on April 4 at Heritage Bank Center while Our Planet Live in Concert is also April 4 at the Taft Theatre.
Zoo Blooms also returns to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden this spring. Visitors to the zoo April 1-30 will get the opportunity to see more than 100,000 tulips as well as thousands of blooming trees and shrubs. Want more time with the flowers? Thursdays in April, 5-8:30 p.m., you can see live music from bands like The Harmed Brothers and Kiely Connell at the zoo.
