Looking to pumpkin spice things up this fall? Here are three events north of Cincinnati that are sure to get you in the spirit of the season.

Movie in the Park

Looking for something fun and free to do next week? Head to Loveland’ for the free Movie in the Park on October 8. The night’s screening is the iconic Disney film Hocus Pocus. Pre-show fun starts at 5:30 p.m. before the movie starts at dusk. This move will be shown at Phillips Park, 11667 Rich Road in Loveland.

Apple Butter Festival

Apple butter, handmade crafts and a wine garden? Count me in! Oxford will be celebrating autumn with its Apple Butter Festival Oct. 1-2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The festival will also include fresh apples, apple cider, a tour of the homestead and live music. The entrance fee is $5 per adult and free for children under 12. The festival take place at the Doty Homestead in Hueston Woods State Park.

Land of Illusion Adventure Park

Middletown’s Land of Illusion is a scream! Come check out its brand-new attraction, Dysphoria, which promises to be full of lots of new scares. The park is open 7 p.m.-1 a.m. every Friday and Saturday in October, plus Friday, Oct. 27 and Sunday Oct. 30. Ticket prices vary. The park is located on 8762 Thomas Road in Middletown.

The Haunt

For more haunted house fun, head over to Kings Island in Mason for The Haunt. Starting this weekend, the park will be host six haunted mazes and four scare zones alongside its regular rides and attractions. If scary isn’t your thing, on Sundays and some select Saturdays you can enjoy the family-friendly Tricks or Treats Fall Fest.
