Have some family fun at one of these local festivals before school starts
School is set to start in the coming weeks, but you can still enjoy some family fun before the school year begins. We’ve found five festivals that are sure to help you end the summer with a bang this weekend.
Lebanon Blues Festival
5-10 p.m. Friday; 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday
Almost a dozen blues bands will take the stage during this free festival. Located in downtown Lebanon, the festival will also feature food vendors, a car show and artisan booths.
New Richmond Riverdays Festival
6 p.m.-midnight Friday; noon-midnight Saturday; noon-6 p.m. Sunday
The village of New Richmond celebrates the end of summer with this annual festival. The festival will feature live music Friday and Saturday, bounce houses, carnival rides, games and more.
St. John Family Festival
6-11 p.m. Friday; 6-11 p.m. Saturday; 4-8 p.m. Sunday
St. John the Evangelist in West Chester will host its first church festival in three years this weekend. Attendees can enjoy the live music, participate in the Grand Raffle and play carnival games.
Ohio River Paddlefest
9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday
The nation’s largest paddling event will take over the Ohio River this weekend. About 2,000 participants will paddle canoes, kayaks and other human-powered craft up to 9 miles to downtown Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. The event ends with a Finish Line Festival.
Ridge Day & Night
4-11 p.m. Saturday
Local businesses and residents will come together to celebrate Pleasant Ridge during this daylong party. There will be food, beer and live music, along with booths from 45 vendors.
