Lola’s Coffee + Bar offers a laid back and eclectic atmosphere, perfect for hanging out with friends or relaxing after a long day. Lola’s features a coffee bar, local beers, wine and cocktails. It also serves pastries, bagels, take-and-bake empanadas and more. The coffee shop is located in downtown Cincinnati and a step away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Started in 2011, Deeper Roots Coffee sought to offer a third place in the community for people to connect and drink good coffee. The founders forged connections with coffee farmers in Santa Maria de Jesus, Guatemala, and created their roasting company to share coffee with all people. Deeper Roots Coffee has locations all over the Cincinnati area and promotes sustainable practices both locally and abroad. This is a perfect place to create new connections and support community and good coffee.
Collective Espresso established itself in its location in Over-The-Rhine as a small, but special coffee company. The founders, Dave Hart and Dustin Miller, opened the shop wanting to create pure coffee for the community to enjoy. They have also opened locations in the Northside neighborhood and in Newport, Kentucky, that welcome everyone in the community to drink coffee and connect with each other.
Started as a community gathering spot for O’Bryonville and surrounding neighborhoods, Bean & Barley continues to serve coffee, pastries and alcoholic beverages. It also uses local bakers, brewers and roasters from Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana in its goods and products. Try one of its classic coffees or a specialty drink such as its S’more Latte.
Carabello Coffee is located in Newport, Kentucky, and has its own local roastery two blocks from the cafe. The Carabellos started it as a small business out of their home with green coffee beans and have transformed into a coffee shop that promotes community and sustainability. It offers a variety of drinks and pastries for its customers to enjoy as well as its coffee beans and syrups. It also has analog hours where customers are encouraged to connect with each other rather than focused on phones or computers.
