With the start of summer the options for motoring fun increase significantly, no matter if your particular interest involves Show, Go, Two or Four Wheels, Keels, or Wings the Cincy area has it all.

            June 28-30 NASCAR returns to the Kentucky Speedway with Trucks, Nationwide and Sprint Cup competition three nights in a row on the big track in Sparta Ky.  Tickets are still available at www.kentuckyspeedway.com.  Leave early and tailgate at the track is a key to a fun race experience, new parking lots will ease traffic flow and you can now take a small cooler into the track.  Get there early and take a garage tour, keep an out for local Racing Reporters Seg Dennison, Bobby Schmidt and Dennis Neal from 700 WLW-they will be having some big fun broadcasting from the heart of the action.

            July 9, Quaker Steak & Lube, Chamber Dr., Milford.  Fundraiser to cure ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in honor of the late Judy Cowie.  Judy was a flagger at sportscar races around the country, Triumph aficianao and collector and an all around nice lady.  This is the program, go to Quaker Steak and have dinner on July 9, tell your server you are there for the ALS fundraiser, a portion of your expenditure goes to the ALS foundation.  Thanks a million.

            July 15 British Car Day returns to Harbin Park in Fairfield.  A celebration of British machinery this show also benefits the good works of the One Way Farm.  Jaguar, MG, Austin Healey, Triumph, Lotus, Morgan and many more displayed amongst the trees make this a very pleasant show because of the shade in July.  The car owners are friendly and will be glad to talk to you about their projects, restoration and activities.

            September offers two charity events at the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati that you can take part in as a driver!!!!  This is your chance to get behind the wheel, build your team and compete for the benefit of some very worthy causes.  Fred Zacharias is organizing an enduro racing event on September 21 for the Ohio Valley Voices-The OVV 500 Hear the Roar!
