The list keeps growing "” the restaurants we can't wait to return to, the appetizers that delighted us. Some instantly earn the designation of the place to take out-of-town guests. Many reward our loyalty with continued superior service and truly memorable meals.

So, Cincy is delighted to present our Sixth Annual Silver Spoon Awards.

The awards are based on the experiences of our entire staff, as well as freelance writers. If we've missed a dish, a chef or a dining experience, please comment online at www.Cincymagazine.com or send a letter to the editor to dfrench@cincymagazine.com. We hope to hear from you.

New Kid on the Block - La Poste, Clifton

Maybe it was the cozy table against the front wall or the attention of the delightfully thorough sommelier, but this spot was a hit even before the food arrived.

Here You Really Are Family - Tony's, Mason

The food and service are terrific, but the warmth and attention shown by owner Tony Ricci puts this one at the top of the list.

Intimate Italian - Barresi's, Deer Park

Delicious homemade Italian dishes served in a cozy old-world setting. The Chicken Florentine, Shrimp Scampi Cardinale and lasagna are scrumptious.

Exquisitely Elegant - Orchids At Palm Court, Downtown

What could be better than the creations from the kitchen of Todd Kelly, the American Culinary Federation's USA Chef of the Year in 2011, enjoyed in the elegance of art deco?

Savory and complex - Emanu, Pleasant Ridge

East African food can be a little intimidating, but Emanu offers a comfortable introduction to the flavor explosion of Ethiopian cuisine. Great place for vegetarians.

Sweet Romance - Honey, Northside

Appropriately named as all dishes have a slightly sweet essence. A great date-night spot, and with its unassuming exterior it feels like you've found a little hidden gem.

50 Shades of Tequila - Cactus Pear, Clifton

OK, they may not have 50 kinds of margaritas, but to be fair they do have more than 10 flavors, with everything from (our favorite) cucumber to prickly pear.

Ever-Changing Menu - Take The Cake, Northside

The menu changes daily, but you're guaranteed a good meal every time. The tofu bahn mi is so extraordinary that diehards look for it on the daily menu released on Facebook and Twitter.

Shake Hands with the GM - Enoteca Emilia, O'Bryonville

Not only did the general manager greet us, but he was still at the door when we left to chat about the meal. The surprise ingredient (corn) pushes the four-cheese flatbread right over the top.

No Corners Cut - A Tavola, Over-the-Rhine

Take a seat at the pizza bar and you can see the magic. Housemade ingredients baked in a wood-fired stove. There are plenty of choices. But just don't miss the dates stuffed with house sausage and wrapped in bacon.

Best Night Under the Stars - Dilly Café, Mariemont

You think you are going for the food "” sesame encrusted ahi tuna or the crab cakes "” but sharing dinner and a bottle of wine under the stars with friends is just perfect. When the temperature cools and the fireplace is flaming, we may never leave.

A Perfect Cincinnati Night - The Celestial, Mount Adams

The salmon with crispy capers, a blackened hand-cut strip steak and the lights of Cincinnati shimmering beneath your window. You can't miss.

Fit for A King - The Palace, Downtown

Award-winning Chef Jose Salazar is partial to the spice-rubbed Albacore tuna served rare. Food and Wine magazine says his talent is in "reinterpreting humble ingredients in brilliant ways." Absolutely.

Best Business Breakfast - First Watch, multiple locations

Because it doesn't have to be fried eggs and bacon, but it can be. Multiple healthy options on this menu can keep you on the right track. Great locations, business-like service.

A Perfect Mix - 20 Brix, Milford

The menu changes seasonally so you can return over and over. There's no wrong time for the Vineyard thin crust bistro pizza with smoked goat cheese and slab bacon lardoons.

Indulgent Brunch - Tellers, Hyde Park

Start a Saturday or a Sunday in the bank vault. Welcome the day with a Belgian waffle smothered with blueberries or go traditional and enjoy the Eggs Benedict.

Freshly Fabulous - Bouquet, Covington

Findlay Market and local farmers can take credit for the fabulous meals plated at this tiny MainStrasse delight. Have to go for the asparagus salad and halibut.

Perfectly Pho - Suzie Wong's, East Walnut Hills

Not a single pot sticker will go unclaimed. The spinach and garlic stir-fry is a meal in itself. Everything is excellent, but we keep returning for the rich beef broth Vietnamese Pho with a generous side of bean sprouts, lime and red peppers prepared to your taste.

"Wow" Appetizer - Parker's Grill, Blue Ash

There are plenty of reasons to dine here "” ambiance, service, great food. But be sure to start off with the signature Dynamite Sticks "” shrimp, andouille sausage, and red peppers in crisp flatbread.

Masterfully Done - Jean-Robert's Table, Downtown

The legend continues. Don't miss a chance to savor the creations of this incredible French Master Chef who has adopted Cincinnati as his own.

Small Plates, Big Taste - Trio Bistro, Kenwood

Some evenings you don't even get to the main menu because spontaneously sharing small plates is just so romantic. The baked brie can give the pecan crusted goat cheese a run for its money. The shrimp bruschetta is a standout.

COmpletely Classic - Primavista, East Price Hill

Fine Italian food, great service and an unparalleled view keep folks coming back on a regular basis. The veal is perfect and the sauces are all made in-house.

His Way Every Day - Oriental Wok, Fort Mitchell and Hyde Park

Standard dishes, perhaps, but make no mistake: owner Mike Wong trains each and every chef to be sure you get the real deal.

Foie Gras on a Paper Plate - Terry's Turf Club, Linwood

The signature sauce for the black angus burger is Burgundy wine with wild mushrooms and truffles. Casual dress, perhaps, but the food is strictly first class.

Tacos & Tequila - Bakersfield, Over-the-Rhine

Drawing a crowd is just one signal that this restaurant has struck a cord with local diners. The concept is simple: fresh, fabulous and served on tortillas handmade in-house.

Who Knew? - Europa, Covington

Don't let the deli case confuse you. Keep walking and you'll enter a small, chic dining room. It's time to enjoy the best of Chef Nicola Palmieri's offerings. He'll come out to ensure the boar is to your liking and the ravioli made earlier in the day meets your expectations.

Best Seat in the House is Outside - View Cucina, Eden Park

Why wait until the Labor Day fireworks? The food is fabulous and the view is yours to enjoy and impress out-of-town guests. Dance to the BlueBirds Big Band on Sundays.

Simply A Cut Above - Jag's, West Chester

Kobe beef and Chilean Sea Bass help set Jag's apart from the rest. Elegant and delicious dining in six rooms of mahogany and fine art.

After the Performance - nada, Downtown

It's the tender carnitas tacos that bring us back over and over. The atmosphere is super-charged, the food is fabulous and it's right outside the door of the Aronoff Center. Go for it "” ala diabla.
