Regional Chamber Presents WE Celebrate Awards

On Dec. 7, the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber presents the sixth annual WE Celebrate Awards, honoring women and women-owned businesses for achievement, innovation, social responsibility and mentoring.

This year's keynote speaker is Melanie Healey of Procter & Gamble, who has been recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the "Top 50 Most Powerful Women in Business" for the second year in a row. According to the magazine, "she managed to give her top line a boost in a tough environment in part by encouraging customers to try new P&G products."

Awards will be given for: Women-Owned Business of the Year; Best New Product or Service; Community Impact: Business of the Year; Business Mentor of the Year; Woman of the Year; Marketing to Women: Best Campaign of the Year; and Businesses WE Watch.

Hospital Leaders Speak at HealthCare Summit

What better way is there to learn the steps to improve the health and well-being of your employees than by hearing from the pros?

On Dec. 1, local hospital leaders, CEOs and national experts will discuss the future of the health care industry in the Tristate, at the second annual Healthcare Summit event, presented by Cincy Magazine in partnership with the West Chester -  Liberty Chamber Alliance.

SCORE Seminar Focuses on New Business

A business plan is critical to the success of any business, but the real focus of the SCORE Seminar on Dec. 17 is to help new small business owners and start-up companies learn the basics of setting up and running a successful business.

Whether you want to write a new business plan or update your current one, professional counselors who have been successful business owners and executives will teach you about the purpose and key components of a business plan, the definition of unique proposition of your business and how to update your plan.

After the session, the counselors are available to set up free one-on-one sessions for participants who want further assistance.

The event's keynote speaker is President of Business Franchise Consultants LLC Bill Haman, who specializes in franchises, consulting, purchasing and general management.
