Games team as director of volunteer services, where she is charged with
gathering, organizing and empowering volunteers to help execute the

Dr. Barbara Ramlo-Halsted and Dr. Shannon
Haggerty join The Christ Hospital Diabetes and Endocrine Center.
Ramlo-Halsted has received many distinctions throughout her career,
including UC Medical Center's Outstanding "Young" Physician Award in
2005. Before joining Christ, Haggerty conducted nationally recognized
research for the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Division
of Endocrinology.
Messer Construction Co. welcomed Charles T.
Hodgson as an infrastructure engineer. He will be focusing on supporting
the IT department. He is also a Cisco and Microsoft certified
professional. Paul F. Sunderhaus joined the team as a data systems

the selection of Joyce Wagner as the new director of the college's
Professional Development Institute (PDI), where she will lead the sales,
marketing and operations of the college's outreach arm.

of Law welcomed national expert Jon Garon as director of the new NKU
Chase Law & Informatics Institute, which will explore key issues
facing business and develop original research. Garon has written many
books and articles, and has extensive practice experience in
entertainment law, data and privacy.

executive Mike Leavy as associate director to help serve the center's
growing list of healthcare clients and develop client relationships to
implement high-impact custom programs for senior executives,
high-potential leaders and experienced professionals. Leavy spent 26
years leading customer and business development for Procter &
Gamble.
Carole Dabney-Smith, assistant professor of
chemistry and biochemistry at Miami University, is among 94 researchers
named by President Barack Obama to receive the Presidential Early Career
Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). This is the highest honor
bestowed by the U.S. government on scientists and engineers who are in
the early stages of their independent research careers.
