Ever wonder where the best views in the city are? Any local can rattle off a list of their favorite vantage points from which to view Cincinnati’s rolling hills and gorgeous skyline. But the place not many locals might think of? Carew Tower, located in the heart of downtown.

Often touted as a tourist spot, Carew Tower has some pretty stellar views of the downtown area and Northern Kentucky. As the second tallest building in the city, the 49th floor observation deck offers a 360-degree panorama for new visitors and Cincinnati natives alike.

Carew Tower was completed in 1930 and has been a National Historic Landmark since 1994. A gift shop offers items to commemorate a visit, but a photo from the observation desk is perhaps the best souvenir of all.

Admission is $4 ages 12 and up, $2 ages 6-11 and free for children 5 and younger. Admission is cash only. Carew Tower Observation Deck and gift shop are open Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Friday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
