Just like the Boy Scouts', racing success keys on "being prepared."  The Dan Beard Council serves over 34,000 youths regionally by offering a wide variety of opportunities for adventure and education throughout the year.  Now they are offering an opportunity for all to support Scouting with the adventure of a Kart Racing Enduro at the Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati on Friday September 28.  These events are an adventure in themselves with the exhilaration of competition, the speed, noise, smell, feel and adrenalin combining for the most fun you can have on an autumn afternoon.

This is your chance to get out from behind the desk and get behind the wheel of a European style racing Kart on the .7 mile twelve turn road course and actually race the other karts.  Kart Team entries are now being accepted; Single racers can register and will be placed on a team with other area business leaders.  The Kart Enduro is four hours in the afternoon that will allow four or more drivers to get into the action on each team, a generous amount of track time.

The Motorsports Country Club of Cincinnati features a clubhouse, changing rooms, viewing deck and more amenities.  The club supplies the Karts and equipment to run the race, outerwear, helmets, (long sleeves and tennis shoes are required) fuel, tires and a crew to keep you on track and charging to the front of the pack.  The Karts are equally matched with the same chassis and drivetrain, so no one team has a huge mechanical advantage and the race will be left to the drivers.  Lunch and a Post Race Awards Party bracket the on-track activities, awards will be presented to the fastest teams and bragging rights will be verified.

To get your spot in the fun with companies such as Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, Baker Concrete, PNC and Porsche of the Village contact Ken Brunner at the Dan Beard Council, 513 577 7710 or ken.brunner@scouting.org to enter or sponsor the event.
