With the start of summer upon us, the winter of 2016-17 is becoming a distant memory. But Greater Cincinnatians will remember it as a time when they left their shovels and snowblowers in their garages. With only 10 inches all winter, the area recorded its 21st-lowest snowfall since records began in 1886, according to National Weather Service data based on measures taken at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The season officially runs from July 1 through June 30, but you can bet we won’t see any more snowflakes before July.
