Soon enough the chill of autumn will be on us—it’s the sort of weather made for enjoying a good adult beverage and a warming fire. If pumpkin beers are your libation of choice, then try one of these four local bottle shops to find your next favorite!

1. Dilly Bistro, Bar, & Bottle Shop – Mariemont
The neighborhood mainstay locals know just as “Dilly” does a little bit of everything. Find your old pumpkin beer favorites here but keep a special eye out for Fat Head Brewery’s Spooky Tooth, a heavy-hitting imperial pumpkin ale with all the sweetness and spice of mom’s pumpkin pie.

2. Higher Gravity Crafthaus – Northside
This combination bar and retailer contains an eye-popping 500 craft beers that can be tried on-site or taken home! With that much inventory, there’s plenty of room for unique offerings such as Clown Shoes’ brand-new Gordo, an imperial pumpkin stout aged in bourbon barrels. And keep an eye out for the tapping of special rum barrel-aged kegs of Southern Tier favorite, Pumpking!

3. Marty’s Hops & Vines – College Hill
If there’s one other thing associated with pumpkin flavoring, it’s coffee. So, it only makes sense that Elysian Brewing would create Punkuccino, a pumpkin ale bolstered with Stumptown coffee! Stop by Marty’s and enjoy one along with the character of this 100-year old building.

4. BC’s Bottle Lodge – Liberty Township
Speaking of pumpkin coffee and beer, BC’s is one of the few stores in the area to carry western New York brewer Ellicottville Brewing and its Pumpkinville Latte ale. Enjoy this easy drinker that has the right balance of coffee, pumpkin, spice and sweetness!
